I believe the Greatest Souls have shown us how to always act on our highest principles, treat all things with compassion, and ultimately to love even those who oppose us. Almost impossible, but we can see it's been done, and that can inspire us to keep trying.

Agreed
The nonviolence philosophy also teaches not to hate the opponent. Hate instead the injustice.
The intention for a nonviolent revolution is to ultimately make the opponent a friend, therefore creating beloved community. -
Nonviolent action starts with language. Do not attack your opponent with judgement and hateful speech. Instead, attack the injustice the opponent creates. By doing this we can actually transform the injustice, create beloved community and peace replaces fear.

Thank you, Marianne. I believe the powerlessness many people feel right now results in displaced aggression towards each other. And yet, the most powerful thing we can do is to love each other and unite for our common goals instead.
