We have become too disconnected from each other and our communities to know the truth. We only know our own experiences or what the media tells us. Just because it's not happening to you now, doesn't mean it's not happening to someone and couldn't happen to you at any moment.
44% of all American workers can barely make ends meet, earning $18,000 a year. Anyone who thinks this is a good economy might want to rethink the word “good.” In the richest country in the world, that statistic isn’t good – it’s shameful.

As part of the middle/lower working class,

I make 25k a year, have ACA insurance with no premium and no co-pay. I'm receiving all of my income tax back. I choose to live frugality, driving a 9 yr old car, with a 8 yr old phone.

That’s correct. Since 2012, I’ve been a part of that group of 44%. A good economy for those who have large investments in the markets that are doing well. A very good economy for Amazon and Facebook.
