In the defense bill passed recently by the House of Representatives, an amendment to clean up PFAS contamination was left out at the last minute. Why? Thank you @marwilliamson ! I helped pass a local policy to ban toxic pesticides on municipal property but was defeated when I tried to go further & make it illegal for private property owners to poison people, wildlife, air, water. That’s because of preemption law!
The chem companies make sure this law isn’t repealed though many have tried! Essentially here in NY state and other states, federal law trumps lower municipalities. My village would’ve been sued by the pesticide companies so we couldn’t pass it. Home rule not even strong enough.

Thank you Marianne for pointing this out. Robert Bilott used big truth indisputable evidence to take down DuPont over PFAS. We need to do the same to demand action from our government and not turn a blind eye to the facts Marianne is vigilantly bringing to our attention.
