Our young country has not seen enough of war on our soil to realize how terrible it is. In our isolation, the horrors of war are too far to feel the actual affects. If Iraq, Yemen or Afghanistan were our physical neighbors, war would effect us and would be short lived.

I think we Americans experience violence, so thoroughly that we dont even recognize it as such. Domestic, mass shootings, the southern border, sexual violence, excess use of police force, factory farming, the prison system, gang violence. I think violence contains alot of things.
