I agree. What I would like to hear is someone talk about a reinvention of the Democratic platform because the current platform is old. It should not be a response, reaction or opposition to the right but an articulation of policies and stands that come from a democratic intention

Yes you! We don’t need to hear about big govt/small govt but NECESSARY govt. We don’t need to hear about private or public medicine but PROFIT FREE medicine. Wasn’t that the case prior to 1974? The answer is a PROFIT FREE medical system. Its one thing for tax $$ to pay for our healthcare (HC) it’s another for them to make insurance exec rich for nothing. HC insurance shouldn’t be a business. Medicine, drugs etc can be subject to free market forces but not the insurance.
