I meet teachers everywhere with worried looks on their faces, comments like “I can’t take it anymore” & “Someone should listen to the teachers.” If you want to see America’s future, look at our public schools. If you want to improve America’s future, listen to our teachers.

Most don’t realize the high incidence of social & emotional trauma among kids - and teachers! - today. Starting with pre-school we must provide more than education; we must provide entrance into a better life. We need social and emotional learning and trauma-informed education.

America has the right social workers, counselors, teachers & early childhood experts. They’re with the kids every day; they know what we need and they know what to do. But only a small % of our underserved kids get the help they need, feeding a multi-generational trend of despair

Only a massive realignment of investment in our children, teachers and schools will ameliorate the dangerous social powder keg underlying American society. We can’t just treat symptoms. The cause of all societal dysfunction begins with despair among parents, children & families.

Old story that needs 2 be brought to light once & for all. I worked as a school administrator & teacher 4 several years, sleepless nights worrying about my students, 💔 aching because I was unable to to do more on my meager salary. Education is key 2 living a purpose-driven life.

The powerful teacher's union controls the system. Have the teachers complain to the union about what is going on in the schools. Tell the unions they care more about the students and their futures than lining their own pockets and sustaining big-business unions.

How about we abolish the idea of conventional public schooling and incorporate technologies in innovative ways to teach our children. Brick and mortar education in certain communities is the beginning/catalyst to life long failure.

It starts with having students that are excited about learning. Schools have become daycare &warehouses for kids with no manners or discipline. There are no consequences for bad behavior.Kids can’t learn when a teacher needs to spend 80% of their time disciplining 20% of students

If you want to understand a lack of leadership in education, look at the leader of Dept of Ed, who has no experience with public education. Ask the City of Detroit.
