Wonderful analogy! A person that is addicted to drugs will not get better by just treating the symptoms of the addiction. We have to go to what caused that addiction. Same with a nation, we cannot just clear up symptoms of hate and greed we must go deeper to the root of the cause
Treat the cause. When someone kills, find out why. When someone steals, find out why When someone lies, find out why. When someone goes bankrupt, find out the cause.

I think you can truly capture people's hearts too by saying what non-symptomatic life looks like. The question I have for you and myself today is how beautiful of a life can we paint for all Americans, and how well can it be a path and example they can replicate.
