Millions of traumatized American children to go to school every day in classrooms that don’t have adequate school supplies to teach a child to read. If a child can’t read by 8, chances of high school graduation drastically decreased & chances of incarceration greatly increased.

Agreed improving broader education standards are necessity, but don’t call out suburbs with high property taxes and better school districts as an negative. If anything, it’s proof that people will pay higher taxes if they know they are getting their money’s worth.
The problem is the system giving a good education only to those with money. All children deserve a good education. #Equity is giving everyone what they need to be successful.
