As a person diagnosed professionally with clinical severe depression and generalized anxiety disorder. I’ve seen therapists, pastors, psychologists, and finally psychiatrists. @marwilliamson spreads such an uninformed view of mental illness. She has no background to support it.

My sister was suicidal AFTER she was prescribed a powerful antidepressant. The potential side effects listed w/ this drug ironically stated “possible suicidal feelings.” The doc took her off the drug immediately and she recovered from her depressive episode on her own.

All medications can have side effects. Over the counter medications can cause side effects. I’m not belittling suicidal ideation. But everyone is warned that medications may not work for their body. That does not counter their efficacy for others. I’m happy your sister is well.

Not sure where the fat shaming comes from. I didn’t mention that one. I challenged your credentials to critique doctors prescribing medicine to their patients.

Thank you for doing so, Stephanie. Her response to you is audacious and ridiculous.

You studied theatre at an undergraduate university. That hardly makes you equipped to make the dangerous statements you are making. Anything else?
