@AlexWitt today. Not only do children come to school hungry, in TX if a teacher is caught giving a hungry child as much as a cracker, the school loses lunch funding for the day. Breaks a teacher’s heart. Daily. -

As a teacher,I see students: hungry,afraid,homeless,dirty, unsafe,invisible. No electric, food, water, proper clothes, classroom supplies. Students live in constant fear with drugs, guns and violence. Teachers do the best we can with limited resources. It is time!
