Catholics living today didn't participate in the Inquisition, either! And this isn't about guilt, it's about responsibility. There are psychological and emotional scars that affect whole groups of people and in the 21st Century we have a deeper understanding of historical trauma.

It's not silly at all. It's completely ridiculous. So many of us have completely mixed heritage/ethnic backgrounds. We can't keep going around having to apologize to people we haven't personally harmed in any way. Enough already.

Slavery was practiced in the colonies/America longer than it has been abolished bro .. and that’s not counting sharecropping, Jim Crow, police brutality, redlining, blockbusting, etc. I don’t think you’re the one who gets to say “enough already”
