and the reality is they're all servicing the next class up which makes 5-10x as much as them whilst providing their services to the next class up which makes more but serves no one.. it's a broken hierarchical system that will simply self destruct if it isn't aligned with progess

The average rent for a 2 bedroom in San Diego is $2446. Take home on $15/hr is about $1716. Not doable for a single parent at all to live and raise children. Not doable for a 2 income couple at $15/hour. We need living wages and UBI.

I work full time at well above min wage but I support my disabled husband. We can barely afford a 1 bedroom & that’s after years of squeezing ourselves into teeny studios AND selling our car (all public transport now). AND I have a Master’s degree & all the debt that entails.
