In my city a 2 yr old was just shot in a drive-by. We teach our kids about reacting to shootings before they can read and write. This is America.
This says it all: “I heard a gunshot,” said Makai Dixon, 8, a second grader who had been training for this moment, with active shooter drills and lockdowns, since he was in kindergarten. “I’d never heard it before.” Not one American should find this acceptable. Not one of us.

Hundreds of ambulances and police everywhere. The whole town is paralyzed in shock. I recently found out that my husband has been delivering blood to area hospitals all afternoon for those in surgery. My son, Cayden is safe after being in a lockout for 2 hours.
