The psychopharmacological/psychotherapeutic/industrial complex turns what is often normal human suffering into a multi-billion $ profit center, too often masquerading as help or healing to unsuspecting sufferers. When I’m president, the FDA will no longer be Big Pharma’s lapdog.

as a mental health therapist surely u know there are appropriate pharma treatments for conditions such as bipolar schizophrenia that are extremely beneficial to individuals allowing them to live productive lives..why on earth would u support such an ignorant statement.

I agree that there needs to be an overhaul of the pharmaceutical companies, they take advantage of people in need for profit. I agree, mental health system needs more programs to support active psychotherapy & counseling. But I don't agree its "often normal human suffering"

I understand the meaning and intent of the statement, but as someone who relies on certain both psychopharmacology and psychotherapeutic services, it does feel a little dismissive of what many of us face and fight every day. Please don't add to the reputation that dismisses us
