The first thing I’d do as president is submit to Congress legislation to establish public funding for federal campaigns. It’s the only way to override Citizens United & even begin to disrupt the financial influence that has corrupted our government & devastated our public square.

It could still be money that partially determines the cut, but it would be money available equally to all citizens.

I don't care if there are 50 candidates running. Some would get traction, some wouldn't. But we need to hear from more people than we now are. One of the greatest voices in politics today is an ex-bartender. We need more voices with the power to affect change, not less.

How much would each candidate get $100mil? =$5bilillon added to the deficit Most money is spent by the Party's and superpacs anyway. So adding more money to the process is counterproductive.
