I think you were exactly on point. It's important to call out authoritarianism and fascism wherever it crops up in order to protect our democracy. We stand against white supremacy, climate change denial, sexism, and discrimination on the basis of religion or sexual orientation.

Love in action doesn’t always create consensus or popularity because it confronts forms of hatred like racism, xenophobia, child abuse, etc. The proponents of systemic violence would feel much better if we all shut up about it and colluded by not confronting it.
