The fully loaded cost for each employee at a salary of $70K (w insurance, 401K, travel, G&A) would probably be close to that anyway. And amortize over five years. But yeah. Still many, many good-paying jobs

You are right on that. Adding to that - I hope they learn to not recruit individuals based off “followings” or a particular “pull”. It seems to result in heavily inflated salaries and typically fickle audiences.

I always remember a journalism Prof driving into us that TV news was entertainment, not news. “There’s no difference between a news host and an actor on your favourite sitcom.” He was admittedly a little cynical.
