Pure scientism. Worse than TED talks.
This is also why I could never follow @jordanbpeterson even if I like his lectures.

Not sure what you mean. This is just my opinion from all my life experiences and philosophical readings. I'd recommend you books that influenced my thoughts on the topic of progress, but they'd have little to do with the people mentioned above.

The problem is stability depends not only upon material prosperity but also social cohesion - community not just GDP. While gross material prosperity is increasing, social cohesion is thinning, and its starting to show in depression and well-being stats.
