I agree with this. Don't pretend to know or have the expert knowledge to say if the current cuts are at the right level/time, but in principle environmentalists should celebrate when subsidies have done their job and can be safely phased out.

Given the number of people still suffering massive financial hardship because of this Government's handling of the cladding scandal post Grenfell, is just about the last person who should be lecturing others on how they should react to it.

Not sure what the point of releasing these figures is now. Over 100k cases reported today with about 70% showing SGTF, so almost certainly Omicron.

Men have indeed been doing crucial Covid number-crunching, but because the pandemic did start a long time ago but not as far back as the Dark Ages, swathes of women have been doing it too 🦠📈

I've been keeping fairly philosophical about COVID stuff all going wrong as we reach a second Christmas again, but finding these two covers from a year apart is a bit depressing.

Article says these plant leathers are 5-50% polyurethane so only "partially biodegradable". If you compost them you fill your garden with plastic fragments but you can't recycle the plastic because it is full of pineapple. Or am I missing something?

Portugal starting to vaccinate 5-16 yr olds today, France next week. Denmark and Austria have been since November. is oddly silent about why the UK hasn't even approved a jab, despite his repeated (if false) claims we can move faster than the EU post-Brexit.

It would save the a lot of time if they just printed the words "It may not be true" on page 1 every day, just under the masthead. A once great newspaper that has been systematically destroyed by being turned into a propaganda sheet.

Deeply sceptical a new team at No. 10 is what is needed to change Boris Johnson. However good your team, if you can't make decisions and keep denying stuff only to be found out later, they won't save you.
