I do feel this self aggrandizing isn’t appropriate for the time we’re in. People are dying. Let’s get through the pandemic first, and then we can put our minds to city building.

Appreciate the response. IMO, immediate reallocation of public space will directly save lives. Today. And, if not now to rethink these spaces, then when? As a planner you’re undoubtedly familiar with the usual complacency, fear, politicking etc. around bold gestures like this.

@andy4wm @bbcmtd please take note of this. Surely there is work going on behind the scenes to ensure the roads don’t go back to how they were, and cars aren’t the priority anymore.
