    The poorest 10% of the UK households pay on average 42% of their income in direct and indirect taxes compared to the richest 10% who pay on average 34.3%. Tories now want to hit ordinary people with social care tax whilst giving tax breaks to the rich.

    And New Labour was in bed with big accountancy firms too, despite their visible in crafting tax avoidance schemes. Unsurprisingly, it was soft on tax dodging and audit failures. Chuka Umunna was close to PwC.

    Council audits were controlled by the Audit Commission (AC). Big four accounting firms funded the Tories. Govt abolished AC in 2014, millions in fees for firms, further concentrated the power of the big firms, audits now don't look at efficiency and effectiveness. Bring back AC?
