Their main message was along the lines of “science aims to get rid of imperfect, and humanity is imperfect, therefore science aims to get rid of humanity.” Giving such a person a public platform is dangerous and spreads public anxieties.

To be clear: their are many ethical concerns surrounding much of the research around
