I think he means that no one agrees with all the points of his/her espoused ideology. It's human to deviate from it a bit.

that's very strange way to look at ideology... but even if it is this external, calling somebody a stupid sheep when you don't disagree with your favorite ideologues/public intellectuals is kinda too much for me. We, the 7 billion people, cannot all have different, unique ideas.

Sure. But I don't think he was saying: agreement = stupid sheepness. I don't know the context, but what I took from his comment was: not complete agreement = humanness/agency (not an NPC). But of course there is also going to be a LOT of overlap with the thinkers you agree with.
