I'm 100% certain that if Wine was the 'Linux Subsystem for Windows', and collections of common userspace programs running on the 'LSW' were referred to as 'Windows distributions' in their marketing materials - a plethora of Microsoft lawyers would descend to protect the trademark
For some reason Linux doesn't get the same protection from this type of confusion-creating situation that Windows would receive. Very telling considering that @Microsoft is a platinum member of @linuxfoundation

This is exactly the situation with the 'Windows Subsystem for Linux' right now, and it needs to get fixed.
