Seriously considering switching to NetBSD as my free software OS of choice. More permissive license but at least you know what you're going to get. @linuxfoundation lets people call anything Linux - even things that run on Windows propritary shims and have ZERO Linux code.

Linux is just like this. They (the Linux "powers that be") care more about success (for some definition) than fundamental principles. See pretty much every OpenBSD release song :)

Yeah, I'd rather use something under a BSD license than GPLed software that is completely taken over by big corporations.
