    I think I enjoy more than my daughter does 😂 It's an incredible resource for inspiration...one I recommend often in my therapeutic work. But it comes with a warning never compare yourself to Bandit & Chilli. Being that engaged ALL the time isn't sustainable.

    Without fail EVERY article about has someone in the comments saying: “Why waste $10B on a telescope?” Sometimes the journalists writing the article ask it, too. Do we ask “why” with the Olympics? Hollywood movies? Military spending? Let’s have a chat. 💰

    A word of warning. I’ve had Long Covid for 12mths and counting. In this time, I’ve been diagnosed with neurological sleep apnoea, encephalitis, sensorineural hearing loss, tinnitus dysautomnia and POTs, and myopericarditis. I was never hospitalised. My case is mild.

    There seems to be some confusion in the community about how the hospitals can be struggling at the moment with relatively few Covid cases in the hospitals. The issues in our hospitals don’t relate at the moment primarily to Covid case numbers. A 🧵

    Okay for real though can whoever diagnoses or treats someone for a mental health condition please EXPLAIN that condition to us and how it might be affecting our lives because if we see a mental health pro *we should not be learning about it for the first time on social fkn media*

    This is a reminder that so much of what we pathologize as mental illness is behavior that is simply different from what we value in society. The history of psychology and psychiatry is rife with examples of this.

    It's weird that after decades of research and experience on burnout etc. we haven't pathologized excessive working, yet a diagnosis for excessive digital gaming was hammered through in fairly short order. It's almost as if there's a difference in acceptability.
