I built a voice assistant in but I know nothing about voice-recognition, so I guess I made the world's most unhelpful voice assistant. Her name is Daysi, so be nice to her... or don't, she can't understand you anyway. Link:

Built-in shadowmap wasn't working with the custom mesh, so I had to write a new shadow engine. On the plus side, I get to add unique behaviors! - Shadows fade by distance - Color shadows - Additive materials illuminate ground! Should be ready to share a live link in a few days.

Just finished adding a second network. One with additive blending, the other subtractive. It's starting to look like some sort of nuclear reaction!

I've seen this effect in many tech videos, and always wanted to build it myself in It's a "vertex soup" that renders the links dynamically based on the proximity between each two vertices. The further the nodes, the fainter their link. 100² nodes = 10,000 links!

Now that Github has launched repository templates, I thought I'd share my boilerplate + + setup. It's configured to handle custom shader files and hot-reloads the browser across multiple devices in the same network!

I was so excited about the that I made a quick in honor of Katie Bouman and the team's accomplishment. It's just a 3D simplex noise field with lots of smoothsteps and siency-sounding variables. 😁

Credit where credit is due: This toy was largely inspired by an old video posted by the great 😁

The "Photo Squancher" is live! See it here: It's a silly photo manipulator that uses spring physics (Hooke's law) to displace the mesh. Built with

I got your nose, Tom! Using Hooke's law in the GPU to apply spring physics to a mesh. I think I'll call it the "Photo Squancher". Will probably publish after a few more adjustments.

Any Brooklyn-based freelancers out there interested in getting to work with holographic displays for ? Sounds like a great opportunity to play with this magical device!

An ignorant question leads Dr. King to offer a strong lesson in black history in two minutes flat. I can tell that he’s slightly irritated, but also determined to break it ALL the way down. Which he does brilliantly. A king.

To celebrate , NBC Comcast launched a dynamic 3D mosaic made up of hundreds of user-submitted photos, and their stories of why they're still marching today. See it live at Built with

Just added a button to the demo that re-calibrates the axes based on the phone's current orientation. Thanks for the idea! Check it out:

I just open-sourced a gimbal tool I wrote last year that isolates yaw, pitch & roll rotations on mobile devices: Hope somebody finds it useful!

I made a Rubik's Cube simulator about 3.5 years ago. I accidentally learned everything I now know about quaternions because of the dreaded gimbal lock. Happy to see it's still up and running! Check it out:

Progress so far on my "volumetric display"! Here's how it works: 1. Render depthmap of city (ortho cam) 2. Displace plane of points by depth values 3. Render plane of points (persp. cam) See it live:
