Went down a rabbit hole trying to better understand the Israeli/Palestinian conflict and am more confused and disheartened than I was before I started. I see zero reason to have any hope of resolution in the region.

Hamas is trash but no where did I ever say they’ve been around a long time. They are the current govt of Palestine and open terrorists is all I said. They also are oppressive as hell.
Hamas being bad is no justification for taking homes of Palestinians in Jerusalem, not a justification to bombing and killing kids.

You’re right. However hamas shooting 3000 rockets blindly at Israel killing and maiming Israelis is certainly justification for a response like bombing military targets Hamas puts near civilians. These same civilians voted for Hamas. These same civilians support Hamas.

Israel even has a special Twitter for Palestinians that gives notice about attacks so they can leave the area. Israel isn’t trying to kill Palestinians, Hamas is by putting launch sites near residential areas. It’s that simple.
