The thing about Trump is he takes credit for everything good and everything bad he blames on Obama, the news, the Clintons, deep state, or liberals.

As far as job growth goes, according to the Boston Globe, going into 2017 the US had 75 months of job growth with an average of 200,000 new jobs a month. Trumps numbers are much lower at an average of 167,000 jobs per month.https://www.bostonglobe.com/business/2018/01/30/how-much-credit-can-trump-take-for-strong-economy/ZDRYbRAR8wVhSoYgcs8NqL/story.html …

As far as the national GDP it's going up, around 3% which is good (credit to Trump), but it is not unprecedented. The US had more growth in GDP in 2012 and 2014 under Obama.

It's good to also keep in mind the huge tax cuts Trump has made which we might not see the effects of for quite some time. The tax cuts were advertised as a "tax cuts for the lower and middle class" when in reality it was the same scheme Reagan and W. Bush pulled.

It's a 'trickle-down' tax bill. This basically means that the rich get richer in the hopes that they will spend more money, hire more people for the jobs they created, increase pay, and in turn the lower and middle class will have more money.

The Trump administration was also touting how many businesses planned to use the billions of dollars they'd save a year and put it into their employees and creating new jobs. Unfortunately, we have not seen this happen anywhere close to the scale they were proposing.
