Great new report on CCS. The only times it really works is when it's working to enable the greater extraction and burning of fossil fuels. It's a climate solution that only seems to function as a climate problem.

The impact of the Climate Change Bill is that we now have a clear cap on nation emissions
43% cut by 2030 and net zero by 2050
We are in a zero sum game now
So how do we deal with new high polluting facilities that *aren't* factored in like new gas and coal mines? 👇

Very interesting. Treasury finally taking climate seriously. Once they start including climate impacts & the real costs of fossil fuel extraction in advice to government a lot of assumptions about what’s “economic” could change.

It is immoral for oil & gas companies to be making record profits from the current energy crisis on the backs of the poorest, at a massive cost to the climate.
I urge all governments to tax these excessive profits & use the funds to support the most vulnerable people.
