The third presentation was on how students developed and planned a makers fair. They were from Dallas Brookes Community Primary School. Here is their flyer if you want to go. #EduTECH2022 #edutechau

Interestingly, out of the seven primary school kids that have presented from 3 schools all have been girls. Go girls! #edutechau #EduTECH2022

As an Associate Dean, I can confirm.

Please understand it takes the dean a while to respond to emails. He has to print them off, read them, craft a response on pen and paper, have the response transcribed, check for accuracy, and only then can he hit send.

I'm so old, I remember when mainstream Republicans were basically reasonable people with differing views on economics, and not a festering fucktangle of democracy-hating book-banning forced-birth fascist grievance-baby shitweasels

Watching BBC news. There’s a parade of imbecile white male conservative MPs in surprisingly ill fitting suits. I just keep thinking of The Thick of It. Maybe I’ll watch that instead.

Took my team out for lunch today. Most people had lettuce on their plates. Pretty sure the value of the meals doubled in the hour it took.

We are extending the deadline for the interim associate VP of academic affairs. The faculty we wanted to apply needed a little more convincing. The faculty who did apply are a hard no.

Saw the show at the Forum . Have to say they are not normally my thing but this is one of the most inventive, clever, original and funny comedy shows I’ve seen. No wonder it’s an award winner. Loved it.

We are embarrassed to admit one of the faculty members we hired during COVID was an AI bot. Because his teaching evaluations were excellent and since he is publishing in the top journals in his field, we decided to keep him. Also, he is at the top of the merit raise pool.

Wow 4 journalists attacking a coach for not understanding journalism and now attacking the person that leaked the video rather than the person who made the awful statements. This panel is so out of touch #offsiders #afl

You were completely obsessed by the “young people under trees” cultural myth of the higher education experience and disregarded the fact that higher education is an experience for all ages and backgrounds not just school leavers from the Eastern suburbs.

So that was the most ridiculously under researched piece on online learning in higher education I’ve ever had the misfortune to witness. You completely trashed the unique and highly rewarding online learning experience that many, many students have had for many years.
