Random science fact: you continue to fart for several hours after you die. Any gasses held inside by clenched muscles escape, plus decomposition and bacteria cause gas buildup. Not even death keeps farting away!
Does expulsion of corpse gas count as a "fart"? I've always thought that a fart is the product of digestive processes, although I've smelled some farts that caused me to believe something had died. (That includes some that originated in me.)
