Yesterday the news reported how many people have mailed in their ballots for tomorrow’s (June 2) primary election. If you have not voted, please do not be dissuaded from going to the polls to cast your vote. 1/11

I shop for food and other essentials at a store that also sells books. The past few times I’ve gone there, one book amongst “best sellers” has been turned so as to hide the cover. The first time I thought it was a mistake and turned the book back around. 2/11

Convincing people there’s “no reason” to vote is one of several ways voting can be suppressed. The goal is to keep people at home - or anyplace but the polls. 3/11

Of the other 14 candidates who seek Republican nomination for U.S. House in Indiana’s 5th Congressional District (INCD5), media have determined several as more likely to win. This is one more way to suppress the vote. 4/11

Those several candidates vow allegiance to the current occupant of the Oval Office and say how great he has handled COVID-19. They deny reality - and seem to have no problem with the racism he spews forth each day. 5/11

They’ve said race is “no problem” & blame current unrest - i.e., riots - on people who exercise their 1st Amendment right to protest. History - e.g., protests for civil rights - shows violence in such protests is committed by people who want to discredit the protests. 6/11

About that book where I shop - about the 4th or 5th time it was turned so passersby could not see the cover, I knew that was deliberate. Each time I shop at that store, I go to that end cap and turn the book back around. 7/11

Please - PLEASE: if you’ve not voted in Indiana’s primary, scheduled for tomorrow, please do not be dissuaded from casting your vote. I’m running as a Republican for U.S. House. We have to seize control of the GOP from forces of bigotry and ignorance. 8/11
