None of the GOP candidates in June 2 primary for Indiana’s 5th Congressional (INCD5) has addressed a point I’ve made repeatedly about health care. Because no one responded to my suggestion that we learn from other countries, I think my point is conceded. 1/10

Last evening’s virtual town hall was held simultaneously at, and with the 14 GOP candidates split between, three “places,” Carmel, Noblesville, and Westfield. I was in Carmel with State Treasurer Kelly Mitchell, my pal Dr. Chuck Dietzen, Matt Hook and Matt Hullinger. 2/10

Among several rules, we were admonished not to attack other GOP candidates, although we could argue issues. Kelly Mitchell made sure we knew the menace we all face is “socialism” and we should avoid it, especially in health care. 3/10

Several times I pointed out: If “socialized” health care is bad, then (1) our health care system should be higher than 37th & (2) of the 36 countries ahead of us, 34 - yes, all but 2 - should NOT have systems based entirely/largely on socialized medicine. 4/10

To attack me was off the plate - by the rules, not by my choice - but to attack my point was NOT off the plate. All but 2 of the 36 countries ahead of us have some form of socialized medicine. No one argued against me. 5/10

I only wish we had been given more time so I could add: all drugs should be legalized, TIFs and subsidies for professional sports should be banned, and we should sack privatization, especially of prisons. 6/10

I would love to debate any of the other candidates, especially on health care. All of the leading countries in the World have socialized medicine. IT WORKS. (I didn't hear a peep from my pal Dr Chuck on the other countries ahead of us) 7/10

On nat’l security I said our biggest threat is in the WH. I pointed out how many people have died from dt’s blunders. I said I’m pro-choice, pro-environment, anti-war and pro-civil rights. The town hall was recorded by Hamilton County’s GOP. No “air” date yet. 8/10

Let me repeat: I look forward to working with President Joe Biden. We should reach across the aisle and work together to solve our problems. The loser (by 3 million votes in 2016) in the Oval Office looks to be going down. 9/10

I’m Mark Small, a candidate for U.S. House in INCD5 in the June 2 GOP primary. I’m proud to be pro-choice, pro-civil rights, pro-voting rights, & pro-environment. We have to take the GOP back from the nut bags. I approve of this blog. Hell, I wrote it. 10/10
