If you're a baseball fan, I recommend a documentary I watched: The Battered Bastards of Baseball" about the Portland Mavericks, 1973-77. Really good.

Baseball reminded me of chess. I saw a good miniseries about an alcoholic chess master in a tournament during the cold war. Will look up the title.
