Gosh golly - when candidate A in a party’s primary challenges to debate any of the other candidates in that primary, and one of those other candidates (me) accepts the challenge, one should (reasonably) infer A will reply to my acceptance. 1/7

Kent Abernathy - one of my opponents in the June 2 GOP primary for U.S. House in Indiana’s 5th Congressional District (INCD5) - issued such a challenge. I accepted. I have received no reply. There are several possible reasons: his stands on issues. 2/7

Mr Abernathy’s stands are indefensible. He lauds the current occupant of the Oval Office, whose policies, or lack of policies, on COVID-19 have resulted in many more deaths than had the Federal government responded competently. 3/7

Mr Abernathy also states, on his website, how he defended “freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan.” That is not true. The U.S. military had shallow motives in Iraq (oil) and this country lost its way after a few specific strikes in Afghanistan in 2001-02. 4/7

Pres Eisenhower warned of the military-industrial complex, a system Mr Abernathy (apparently) is out of his depth to defend. Intellectual deficiencies would seem to work hand in shoe for one who boasts of having worked in the Pence administration. 5/7

Usually I would write a longer blog, but I have not the stomach. An individual who issues a challenge and fails to respond to an acceptance of that challenge lacks the intellectual integrity to be taken seriously. 6/7

I am Mark Small, a GOP candidate for INCD5, proudly progressive, pro-choice, pro-environment & antiwar. I’ll back up my words & debate If Mr Abernathy won’t, he can blow it out his anal orifice & attend STFU. I approve of this blog Hell, I wrote it. 7/7
