I wonder if Trump even realizes the enormity of what his inaction has caused. Does he regret the misery he’s causing?

His mental condition doesn't allow him to care about others, the only thing that may change his actions is when everybody stops supporting his actions. As long as people will applaud his stupidity he will keep on behaving as he has.
Don't know if it's limited to his stupidity - he also could have disorder along lines/similar to solipsism & I haven't checked DSM-V to see if it's listed. Heard psychiatrist once say "disorders" were labels they gave when ppl are assholes & can't otherwise fit a pigeon hole

Well I think it is labelled a disorder when it crosses some threshold of where it is detrimental to their day to day life. Of course that line is based on the observer's judgment.
