I watched “Idiocracy”: film portrays the American people, in the year 2505, as idiots w/no regard for intelligence. Some people (today) draw parallels between the film’s main character, Joe Not Sure, and the current occupant of the Oval Office (“d/t”). 1/6

Any such parallels are misconceived: 1) At outset of film, Joe is in the U.S. military. Neither dt, his father, grandfather or his sons has served in the military. 2) Near film’s end Joe marries an ex-hooker; dt’s current wife is NOT an ex-hooker. 2/6

3) Joe’s predecessor in Oval Office is a pandering, incompetent African-American. dt’s predecessor neither pandered nor was incompetent. 4) Joe is deemed the “smartest man in the World” after a standardized test; no test results have determined dt is smart. 3/6

5) Joe solves the stark problems that result fr man-made impacts on the environment (plants R not given water but sports drink); dt has denied negative human impact on the environment & not disturbed “job creators” via enforcement of gov’t regs. 4/6

6) Joe is modest and tries to deny he is the World’s smartest man; dt has not been been bothered by mere evidence to the contrary as he has claimed to be very very smart. 7) Joe has children who are the smartest children in the World. 5/6

8) Joe spends time in jail. dt has not spent time in jail - yet. I hope I have dispelled these misconceptions. WARNING: “Idiocracy” is not a documentary. You need to remind yourself of this fact every few minutes. 6/6
