When a person argues X and that person’s opponent refutes X, to simply repeat X (the original argument) is not an effective reply. For example - Person Blue: Earth is flat. Person Red: NASA photos show Earth is round. Person Blue: Earth is flat. 5/22

Indiana Republican Party (Party) is nonprofit corp entity chartered by Indiana’s Secy of State A corporation has no raison d’etre - French for “reason 2 B”; Saturday’s debate’s on S Lafountain Street & French seems apropos - aside from what is stated in articles of incorp’n. 6/22

My points - set forth in standard English with citations to authorities - were not addressed by either Mr Bales or Rev Beckwith. Perhaps if I condense the arguments, those gentlemen might understand the arguments: 7/22

1. The Party’s articles include its purposes and powers: “To further the rights of Indiana Republicans to freely associate to achieve the goals of ... the Indiana Republican Party...” (Art. 3.) 8/22

Until the GOP State convention this summer adopts a platform, any issues to consider for the platform are subject to the free market of ideas. 9/22

2. Under the Party’s Rules (Rules 1-12, 1-24, and 1-25), I am a bona fide Republican. 10/22

3. Bales either misunderstands or is ignorant of GOP’s history. Simply because people of his and Reverend Beckwith’s ilk hijacked GOP after a century-and-a-half - with brief exceptions - as progressive does not mean they have a propriety claim to GOP 11/22

Their hostile takeover of a corporation, devoid of ideological restrictions - as I said before, Machiavelli would have loved it - did not change the GOP’s raison d’etre. 12/22
