They should not have tried to march through Belgium - but the terms of ToV brought conditions that led to WWII in Europe.

Yes. Irony is that Germany pre-Hitler was one of the least anti-semitic nations in Europe. And the economy boomed because (essentially) Hitler wrote bad checks until his thugs took total control.
