When you imply I am uninformed, you seem to overlook my cites to historical documents and scholarly commentary on history. Reasons the Civil War occurred are complex. What support do you have for your assertions?

“a position of superior and inferior, and I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race.” You said I should read Lincoln’s speeches. I just quoted from a speech he gave in 1858. 4/8

You say I should look at “facts,” yet you merely assert without reference to specific authority. To say, as you do, to “read [Lincoln’s] full speeches” is equivalent to saying “read the books in the library.” 5/8

Unless you offer something more specific, this is a waste of time. The issues that arose because of slavery, as evil as that institution was and always will be, are far more complex than you seem to imply. 6/8

I say “seem to imply” because you do not state anything w/citation to specific authority, and seem only to want to make pithy comments about shortcomings in my knowledge of Lincoln, his views on race and how the Constitution protected slavery. 7/8

Unless you take actual positions - or even one position - with a declarative sentence & citation to a specific passage of a specific speech or document, I do not see value in posting more replies to you because you say little that is of any value. 8/8
