But seriously- In Aristotle's Politics, "Polity" or "constitution" is the name of the form of the gov't of the "many" able to aim at the common good. A constitution allows the few and the many to hash out their interests, however concieved. Ever seen one?

The few and the many concieve of the common good in different ways: compassion and the honor of excellence, when the few are being good, but their f'n oligarchs when bad, and their ignorance leads to tyranny.
