Why be GOP at all then? Considering they have abandoned fiscal responsibility by ramping up the deficit and engaging in senseless trade wars. And abandoned Constitution by ignoring powers granted to the House in that document. For starters.

Because 1) The GOP is 1 of the 2 "major" political parties 2) Both parties have written in advantages in most States 3) 3d parties can't seriously challenge & so 4) Take er GOP the way tea people took it in 2010.

Okay great answer. I honestly do hope the GOP finds it’s footing again once the haze of the Trump cult fades. I was thinking a third party political split but you do have solid points. Anyway a return to genuine dialog and compromise founded on real left/right alternatives.

Thx. A lot of people don't understand. Once I explain, most see the point. Stated another way, we can't allow 1/2 of the system that represents minority of voters to be controlled by ignorance & bigotry.

Absolutely true. With the demographic shift, and the hangover of the Trump years, the GOP is facing an existential threat. Democracy would not be served by the imbalance. There needs to be opposition of ideas, a testing of power.

One-party rule has not been good.
