Q: When did the GOP start to cheat? 50 years ago with Nixon? Or before that? Do Dems also have a history of voter suppression? (Gerrymandering/Making it hard to register/Culling voter rolls)? What book should I read for the full history focused on Federal election shenanigans?
idk re: book, but Indiana Dems gerrymandered when they last held majorities in both houses - 1970? 1980? I'll have to check. Democratic Party in the South was very heavily into voter suppression 1870-late 1950s miid-1960s. GOP now is much > pervasive/systematic & across the board
