I hate that in order to get urgent help when you have depression, you have to tell them you want to kill yourself. What about the non-suicidal people like me? Am I not depressed enough for you? Fuck that.
& if suicide is mentioned, the therapist or counselor might feel a line has been crossed & that she or he has a duty to report that. & that suppresses ppl discussing things fully.

It puts ppl in a position of saying they are suicidal even if not in order to get help OR to lie and say they are not suicidal if they do not want hospitalization.
