Implicit was the notion that one does not protest United States military involvement. To say a war is wrong is also to say U.S. military personnel who died in such involvements died in vain. Such protest is unpatriotic and people who protest wars should leave the country. 2/22
I think we are of the same generation. I do not believe a general conscience exists. There are ppl here (Indiana) who believe Vietnam could have been won & ppl did not land on the Moon. A conscience becomes a mob event. Each of us has to value right from wrong.

Suppose, I’m alluding to accountability from an informed collective. I don’t really perceive this so much as a mob mentality, as I do as a check & balance. Yes, constantly moving target, but I trust what’s at the center. Don’t trust the alternative.

It can be a mob mentality. Think back to before Gulf War I - sounds like an airplane model - & how ppl were ramped up. That was nothing to GWII after 9/11. Ppl who R scared can do bad things, like turn to the klan
