Why would Iran make any deal with the US, when they had a deal with the US and the US reneged on it? Why would any country ever trust the US to honor any deal, ever again?

Imagine what would happen if another country did that to the US... if they came onto US soil and attacked civilians... Oh wait, you don't have to imagine it, we know what happens. You literally go to war over it... with countries who weren't even involved in it...

I think it will still be many years before we learn what the actual motives behind it were... especially considering most people still don't get that the countries the US went to war with, aren't the one's who set it all up.

We may never know all motives, but the first Gulf "war" was a big factor.
