Is there a way I can tell when I've followed someone?

Click on your profile and see “followers” and “following”. Click following, and you will see all those you are following. Is that what you are asking?
Thx - I mean the date when I followed them, so I can start to un-follow ppl if they don't follow me. Also - is there a way to go to list of followers by earliest date w/o scrolling through everyone?
