I hate kennels (only use as a last resort).

Well, we have one because it's much safer for the dogs to be in their kennel bc of the number of wild animals here.

Oh, you mean a kennel at home, like for kennel-training. I thought you meant sending them to a kennel while you were gone. Nvm

We would never take them to a boarding facility or a doggy daycare or a spa. Too many doggy diseases.

Well, I'm more concerned for the abuse I've seen and heard of in boarding places. My dogs have always gotten vaccinated for everything.

We vaccinate for everything too especially for Lymes Disease. Our German Shepherd/ flat coated retriever was born with Lymes Disease. She suffered terribly whenever it flared up so we had to give her antibiotics during those times.
