Self-reflection might be too much for one to hope, but might be how one frames the message - cause the audience (i.e., the individual to whom one talks) to reflect Treat the person politely (& they might be polite afterwards)

It’s also much better to have peace & genuine understanding, than to have chaos & misunderstandings, further fueling the divide. I personally believe that much healing & progress is made from grassroots up. People acting out of genuine care & concern.
